English Languague Challenges

Hello everyone, today I gonna to talk about how my English language has evolved. The truth is that I have not improved much because I have been very loose with my English courses at the university. Despite my laziness I feel that I have improved in my ability to improvise when I have to speak English, as in the lectures or conversations that take place in classes. As for blogs, it was fun to do them, time flew by and I learned words I did not know, so it was a good experience. Something that has always cost me the English language, the connectors and grammar rules, I find it hard to remember them, and besides the pronunciation, I guess it's something like practicing, I would like to know how to pronounce what I am saying to feel more secure to the time to talk, although it is obvious that it is something that will take time. I think I am going to improve my English skills as I go through the courses, although as I said before on my own and my concern about my career paths, I d

Ruth Fulton Benedict; New York, 1887-1948) American anthropologist and writer. Trained at Vassar College and Columbia University, where he would later teach, his first vocation was literature. From 1919 he devoted himself to anthropology studies: from 1922 to 1929 he carried out research on Native Americans. His research led him to some conclusions he formulated in his Esquemas de cultura (1934), a work in which he methodologically defined the complex relationship between individuality and cultural model. Benedict argued that the culture of each people is unique and can only be understood from its own terms. She also pointed out that each culture exerts pressure on its members to conform to the patterns of society and tends to reward those who do. Besides, with the emergence of Nazism, Benedict began working in various organizations to educate the people about the threat of racism. I like this anthropologist, for many reasons, first of all because she is a woman, because ant

Hello everyone, in this case I wanna talk about a photograph that I like. Its a photograph of my beloved city, Valparaiso. I took this photo about two months ago I took this picture about two months ago one night I went out with my boyfriend, we came down the hill Placeres, and we arrived at the Hill Baron where there is a viewpoint, from which you can observe much of the city.  What I like about this picture is that shows how beautiful it is my city, in the photo you can see the form of theatre that has Valparaiso, the hills with their lights are like the public looking at the serene and dark Sea by the light of the night.I love to photograph my city because I think it has a very unique beauty, is a perfect chaos, take photos of Valparaiso and then see them when I'm in Santiago makes me think about how little is left on vacation and that is very exciting.

Any way, we never know what it's gonna happen in the future, I believe in my career, and I wanna study another posgraduate studies related to this, like Industrial archaeology and experimental archaeology. I hope that I can meet my goals and not dissapoint me on the way. Goodbye!, see u later.

My favourite subject of this semester.

This semester I had a lot of interesting subjects in my curriculum, like Evolution and Social History of Chile, but my preferred subject was Archaeology II, the second part of Arqueology I, that I had the previous semester.  In class we learn about the differents topics that we have to investigate like archaeologists, we hear tearchers talks about the diferents topics and we take notes, in the metodology was a little boring but I focus in the ideas.  Besides, I understand the social and political responsabilities of study the past of human groups. We have  six modules, there are subsistence and economy, technology and social organization, social change, ideology and heritage. I love the last unities, especially the final forum with experts about heritage, here we learn about how deconstruct the archaeology.   I enjoy very much learn about this, because I want to choose the speciality in my career, I think that is very important change the focus of this discipline sharp
